Counties of New York

This is a list of hospitals in the U.S. state of New York. The hospitals are listed by current hospital name with the date the hospital first opened and current number of beds, when known. For hospitals that have closed, the closing date is included, when known. More detailed descriptions are in the lists of hospitals in New York City's five boroughs and separate articles for many notable hospitals.

According to one source, as of 2019, there were 163 hospitals in the state of New York, including 24 owned by state and local government and 139 owned by non-profit organizations.[1] Another source indicates there are 277 hospitals in the state of New York, including 64 governement hospitals and four private hospitals.[2]

The range of number of beds in hospitals goes from the multi-campus New York Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan with 2,678 beds to Mercy Hospital in Orchard Park with only two beds.
